Starting to understand your puppy's behavior and how best to train your dog in a positive way is key to having a happy, healthy, and balanced dog for life. Whether you are getting a puppy or have just brought one home, I will teach you all you need to know about your puppy's breed and its needs, how to house break, establishing pack leadership right away, how to feed your new puppy so he or she sees you as pack leader, how to begin to claim areas of the house such as the front door so when people enter or leave your dog is calm. I also address chewing, destructive behavior, playing too hard, mouthing, pros and cons of crate training, proper exercise, proper nutrition, how children and teenagers should handle and play with the puppy, introducing the new puppy to your home, and the different stages of growing up and when to start obedience training.

Choosing your Shelter Dog

Choosing the right shelter to adopt from and Choosing the right puppy or dog is serious doggie business. This is a day out, first talking to you about what kind of dog is right for you and your family. In the shelters I will be showing and pointing out the right behaviors in the dogs and point out the best temperament that will best suit your family. Adopting a dog from a shelter is a great way to help dogs in need.
